Oil on Canvas by Mason Chamberlain R.A. 1727-1787 – Samuel Richardson seated in his study with his son – Samuel, with his greyhound at his feet and holding a trundling hoop. Chamberlain was a founder of the Royal Academy and exhibited 50 works there between 1760-86. He painted Benjamin Franklin in 1762. Works represented at the NPG London, Philadelphia Museum of Art.
